I don't know that James wanted a tie in particular but it matches Lauren's dress and I wanted his handsome face on my etsy! James also inherited the Bird family lego collection and his first copy of Mad Libs for his birthday coming up next week.

An Evening With The Dutch Reformed
Steve & Terry Huizenga are Steve's house guests. They are visiting from Chicago. My brother -in-law Steve did most of the cooking with Brit's help. Steven is a fine cook .... who knew!
The old guard, Trinity alumni. Steve and Steve were roomies for two years. By the time they graduated they pretty much owned the campus. Trinity was 99.9 percent Dutch. Dave, his brother Steve and a Japanese girl made up the minority. It was the 60's. Some went to college to avoid the draft. It was a less then serious atmosphere. When a small group was found smoking marijuana they were called before the school board. The students tried to make a case for drug induced worship but the old Dutch Farmers wouldn't buy it. However there was a cigarette machine in the student lounge .... it was a cultural thing.
We enjoy being served
Mary, Ruth & Brittney above. Monica is still at Tennessee U. We laughed, and joked till we could no longer see our faces across the table and the mosquitos came out .... it was time to go home.
